Coastguards, Smuggling and Shipwrecks

"Brandy for the parson, baccy for the clerk”. Join us for this guided walk on the Seven Sisters and hear about tales of smuggling at Crowlink and the history of the Coastguard station.

A guided walk, starting at Birling Gap, over three of the Seven Sisters to the site of the old Crowlink Coastguard cottages. On the route, learn more about the history of the site, smuggling and some of the notable shipwrecks in the area. We then go inland talking about the history of Gayle's Place and the Red Barn. Finally, we head back to Birling Gap.
