Inroads Productions are developing a new project, (Re)finding Newhaven Beach that will eventually form part of the material/ inspiration for a co-created immersive community musical/ opera with, by and for Newhaven, planned for 2026/27.

IS THE BEACH IMPORTANT TO YOU, AS IT GOES THROUGH NEW CHANGES?

DROP-IN STORY SHARING Come along to a drop in at the Hillcrest Centre Saturday 17 May between 10.30 and 12.30 OR between 14.00 and 16.00. Have a cuppa and a biscuit and meet one of our friendly interviewers to talk about your stories and memories about the beach and the town itself – funded by BN9 Arts Growth Fund & Newhaven Town Council. Please bring photos or memorabilia to share if you wish. Your permission will be asked for to record & use your memories

DROP-IN ART WORKSHOP While you’re there, local artist, Carol Havard, will be running visual art workshops, where you can draw, paint or make a collage of the beach, your memories, and what it means to you – all free due to funding from University of Brighton.
